Believe me

I've realized, a couple of years ago

the importance of self-love and self-acceptance

insecurities come from the lack of these two

you don't love and accept yourself

as you are 

therefore, you are insecure

nobody is perfect

we all know that

but we can all be perfectly imperfect

when we start embracing ourselves

do not get attached to others' compliments

others' admiration

others' approval

for these come and go

and when they go

you'll feel so empty

and when they come

you'll live in fear of them going again

it's a sad loop

that you can get out of

the journey to self-love is long

and it definitely isn't linear

but it is possible

I like acting

you have to be smart and flexible to be able to change from one character to another

it's like a game

a game that combines intellect and art

one should be a real genius to move the audience with one's character 

it takes courage to make a fool of yourself for the sake of the story

I like to write, direct and act in a play or a movie

I feel like I have a lot to offer, a lot to tell

I just need some time to get out of my shell

I like arts, culture and history

because seeing the work of others inspire me to be the best version of myself

seeing that a long time ago, someone believed in themselves, in their thoughts

so much that

they became eternal and respected

is all I need to motivate me to follow my dreams

all artists, all those who marked history were different

they were rejected by their own people

mocked

called crazy

yet they are the ones remembered

I've never fit in anywhere in my life

yet in a Museum I feel so alive and right where I should be

I feel surrounded by those who understand me

their work warm my heart and calm my mind

and for that I am forever grateful

I like human beings

I like that I know that a human being is fragile

has thoughts and emotions

I like the vulnerability of human beings

how they try to hide it

I like to tell them that I know you are much more than what you want us to believe 

I like to think that deep down we are all alike

we are all kind

we are all loving

we all want to be accepted and loved

we all feel rejected and weird sometime

we all long for a true connection with another human being

That is what I love about us

we are so much alike, yet everybody is unique

each one of us has their own perspective on life

their own story

their own aspirations

we are alike, but each one is their own

If we understood that, hate would be no more
